According to sources, Bramayugam made over Rs 60 crore from ticket sales worldwide while only spending less than Rs 30 crore on production. It is undoubtedly a tremendous accomplishment for the experimental black-and-white film.
Director Rahul Sadasivan said in a recent online interview that although they were confident the Mammootty film would wow viewers, they never anticipated a success of this scale. The tremendous success of Bramayugam serves as a source of inspiration for all those in the film industry who are willing to take risks. The audience gave this movie's actors a tonne of praise for their performances.
Rahul Sadasivan, who seems to be making a name for himself in the horror genre, is the director of Bramayugam. T D Ramakrishnan and Rahul Sadasivan wrote the screenplay for this film, which explores topics that are still relevant today, set against the backdrop of feudalism in Kerala.
The three main characters, who are imprisoned in a power struggle, are at the centre of the movie. Bramayugam became one of the biggest hits in Malayalam cinema history when it debuted in theatres to ecstatic reviews from both critics and film enthusiasts. It is bankrolled by Chakravarthy, Ramachandra, and S Sashikanth under the banners of Night Shift Studios and YNOT Studios.
