Bramayugam - Dubbed versions of Mammootty’s film to release next week? Here’s what we know

Bramayugam, the much-awaited period horror thriller that features Mammootty as the central character, has been receiving immense love from Malayalam cinema audiences. The movie, which marked the third outing of director Rahul Sadasivan, has been receiving rave reviews for its extraordinary making and performances. Earlier, the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi versions of Bramayugam were also slated to be released on the same day.

But the release of dubbed versions of the film has been delayed due to various technical issues. However, recent updates suggest that the other language versions of Mammootty’s period horror thriller will hit theatres very soon.

Bramayugam's dubbed versions to release next week?

Mammootty fans and Malayalam cine-goers are upset with the makers of Bramayugam for not releasing the other language versions of the original. The trade analysts, too, suggest that a wider release, including the other language versions, would have worked wonders for the Mammootty starrer at the box office, considering the rave reviews. However, the delay was not intentional but was caused by the issues related to the censorship of the dubbed versions.

As per the latest updates, the censorship formalities of Bramayugam, which marked Mammootty’s first onscreen collaboration with director Rahul Sadasivan, are now nearing completion. If the reports are to be believed, the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi versions of the period horror thriller will hit the big screens next week. In that case, we can expect the release of Bramayugam's dubbed versions on February 22 or 23, 2024.

Bramayugam emerges as a winner

Meanwhile, both the native audiences and the non-Malayli audiences are equally enjoying the Malayalam version of the film. The extraordinary performances by the lead cast, including Mammootty, Arjun Ashokan, and Sidharth Bharathan, have won the hearts of cine-goers. Director Rahul Sadasivan, music composer Christo Xavier, DOP Shehnad Jalal, production designer Jothish Sankar, and the team are also receiving immense praise for creating a never-seen-before visual experience in black-and-white format with impeccable technical brilliance.
