Bramayugam Box Office Day 8 – Mammootty's period horror film crosses Rs. 43 crore mark worldwide

Bramayugam, the Mammootty starrer which is an experimental film made in the black-and-white format, has now emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters of 2024. The period horror thriller, which is helmed by talented filmmaker Rahul Sadasivan, has equally impressed the cine-goers and critics. Now, when it completed the first 8 days of its release, Bramayugam witnessed a slight dip at the box office, owing to the new releases that hit the theatres.

However, the Mammootty starrer has now crossed the Rs. 43 crore mark at the worldwide box office, within the first 8 days of its release. Things are expected to get better today (Day 9), as the Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada, versions of the film gave finally hit the theatres after the long wait. 

Bramayugam crosses Rs. 43 crore mark at the box office

As per the recent updates from trade experts, Bramayugam has crossed the Rs. 18 crore mark at the Kerala box office alone, within the first 8 days of its release. The Rahul Sadasivan directorial has crossed the Rs. 43 crore mark when it comes to the worldwide box office, so far. Interestingly, the Rest Of India collection of Bramayugam Malayalam version alone has crossed the Rs. 4 crore mark in 8 days. Things are expected to get better from today, as the dubbed versions of the film, barring Hindi have been released.

The period horror thriller registered its lowest collection in Kerala on its Day 8 in theatres, making close to Rs. 95 lakh. However, things are expected to get back to normal from today (February 23, 2024), as the weekend begins. If things proceed at the same rate, the movie, which features Arjun Ashokan and Sidharth Bharathan in pivotal roles, will cross the Rs. 50 crore mark at the box office, within the first 10 days of its release.

Bramayugam’s future at the box office

The excellent word-of-mouth publicity suggests that Bramayugam will definitely cross the Rs. 70 crore mark at the worldwide box office within its lifetime run. However, the Mammootty starrer might perform even better, if the other language versions succeed in impressing the regional audiences, who were not able to watch the original version. In that case, the period horror thriller might even cross Rs. 80 crore at the box office, within completing its theatrical run.
