Bramayugam, the highly anticipated period horror film, marked megastar Mammootty’s first onscreen collaboration with director Rahul Sadasivan. The movie, which is an experimental film made in the black-and-white format, has already earned blockbuster status at the worldwide box office by making over Rs. 31 crore within the first weekend of its release.
Now, trade experts suggest that Bramayugam is set to touch the Rs. 35 crore mark at the box office when it completes the fifth day of its release. Even though the Mammootty starrer witnessed a little dip in the collection on Day 5 as the weekend was over, it still succeeded in passing the first Monday test.
Trade analysts have confirmed that the Rahul Sadasivan directorial has made a total collection of around Rs. 34.8 crore from the worldwide box office within the first 5 days of its release. The movie made around Rs. 3.8 crore on Day 5, which was a Monday, at the box office. It is indeed a highly impressive first Monday figure for a film, which has been made with a budget of around Rs. 25 crore. Considering the excellent audience rush, the movie is expected to work well during the week as well.

The rest of India's box office collection, on the other hand, had exceeded Rs 2 crore.
Bramayugam is now set to enter the Rs. 50 crore club of Malayalam cinema, as the other language versions of the film are finally set to release this weekend. The movie, which has been receiving immense love from cine-goers, is expected to even cross the Rs. 70 crore mark at the box office within its lifetime run at the theatres.
