BoyapatiRaPo: The first glimpse of Ram Pothineni’s actioner with Boyapati Sreenu will be out on…

Srinivasaa Silver Screen, the popular banner that dished out films like U Turn, Seetimaarr, The Warriorr and this weekend release Custody, is bankrolling another prestigious project with Ram Pothineni in the lead. Akhanda filmmaker Boyapati Sreenu directs the untitled film that’s gearing up for a release on October 20, for Dussehra this year. Sreeleela plays the female lead.

Tentatively titled BoyapatiRaPo, the film will be a pan-Indian release in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam. While Ram forayed into Tamil cinema with The Warriorr, many of his Hindi-dubbed films are a rage in several parts of the country. Given the credentials of the team, the actor couldn’t have asked for a better project to expand his horizons into other markets.

Confirming what’s already official by now, the first glimpse of the aforementioned film will be out on Ram’s birthday i.e. May 15. The makers, formally announcing the same, tweeted, “We have Something Crazy in Store to make USTAAD @ramsayz's Birthday More Special. Dropping the #BoyapatiRAPO First Thunder on May 15 @ 11:25 AM #BoyapatiRAPOonOct20.”

In the poster launched by the makers, a bulked up Ram Pothineni, in an intense avatar, holds a weapon in his hand while there’s a bull behind him. Boyapati is teaming up with his regular collaborator M Rathnam for the project. S Thaman scores the music for the actioner while AS Prakash is the art director. Santosh Detake is the cinematographer and Tammiraju is the editor.

Narendra Kumar Logisa is the VFX supervisor. Urvashi Rautela is believed to be a part of a special dance number in the film too. Ram is rumoured to have signed the sequel to iSmart Shankar with Puri Jagannadh, which will be announced on the actor’s birthday too. His hit film Ready, directed by Sreenu Vaitla, is re-releasing in theatres this Sunday.
