Box Office : Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty makes Rs 4 crores net on day one, deets inside

Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty marks the comeback of Anushka Shetty to the big screen after a long gap of five years. She plays a woman in her late 30s who wants to h ave a baby without marriage. Mahesh Babu P has directed this film which was produced by UV Creations. The romantic drama opened on September 7, 2023, alongside Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan with a decent word of mouth.

The box office numbers from day one are out and Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty has made Rs 4 crores net in India. When it comes to the US box office, the film has crossed the $300K mark already and is on the way to posting healthy numbers on its first weekend. The clean comedy and novel storyline have drawn the attraction of the viewers in all areas of its release.

Jawan poses threat to Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty collections

The numbers could have been even better if not for Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan. As the star hero's film has opened to an earth-shattering release, Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty has been sidelined in many areas. Even in Telugu states, the trade feels that taking on Shah Rukh Khan was a bad idea and the makers should have released the film on Friday, September 8, 2023, to avoid the domination.

Jawan has also opened to solid collections in the Telugu states. Both the Hindi and Telugu versions are doing well hereby giving stiff competition to Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty. As word of mouth is good, the makers feel that Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty's occupancy will pick up by this weekend. Slowly but steadily, the occupancy is growing and that was seen in the evening and night shows of the film on Thursday.

Naveen Polishetty had single-handedly promoted the film before its release and his performance is being appreciated a lot. Netflix has grabbed the OTT rights of Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty for a fancy price and as per our knowledge, the film will premiere in the first week of October 2023. For now, all eyes are on how the film will perform in the days to come.
