This week on July 20, 2023, multiple films Annapurna Photo Studio, HER, Hidimbha, and Hatya were released with a low buzz. Sadly, none of the films have taken a positive opening at the box office. First in line is Hidimbha which stars Ashwin Babu and Nandita Swetha as the main leads. The film is a suspense thriller and has a great storyline. The film opened to mixed reviews and that is the reason, the occupancy is also quite low.

Next in line is Annapurna Photo Studio starring YouTube fame Chaitanya Rao as the main lead. The film is a village drama with a few thrilling moments. As the film was not promoted on a great note, not many knew such a film is coming out in the first place. Also, as the reviews have been mixed, Annapurna Photo Studio started with a very dull occupancy.

One should also note that heavy rains have lashed the Nizam area and this is also one of the reasons for the dull occupancy of these films. Next in line is 'HER' which stars Ruhani Sharma as a cop. This is the first-ever female-oriented script for Ruhani and sadly, the film is not gaining much at the box office even though the reviews for the film have been decent. The lack of star value has gone against this film.

Last, but not least, Vijay Anthony's Hatya has been released in Tamil and Telugu. Hatya was not promoted properly and the dull narration and lack of proper thrills went against the film and the Telugu audience is not keen on watching the film on the big screen. All the films are low-budget dramas and needed a solid talk to click at the box office. But that did not happen and the wait now if for their OTT releases.

Well, the dull response to these films has given last week's release Baby more scope to attract the audience to the theaters. The makers have also kept the film in the news by holding special events and bringing the likes of Allu Arjun and Vijay Deverakonda as the chief guests. Baby has also grossed over Rs 50 crores and is a smash hit at the box office.
