Following the huge success of his previous directorial, Bheeshma Parvam, acclaimed cinematographer and filmmaker Amal Neerad is about to make a comeback with Bougainvillaea. Movie buffs have been incredibly excited about any news regarding the project. The action drama's plot has now been summed up in the most recent reports.
According to sources, the film centres on a family caught up in a police probe into the unexplained disappearances of tourists in Kerala. It is reasonable to infer from this that Bougainvillaea is an intriguing psychological thriller of the power relationships between members of various castes and social strata. The latest poster also raises the possibility that the film, which purportedly stars leading man Kunchacko Boban in a negative role, tells the tale of oppressors and victims.
For this action thriller, the director is collaborating with Kunchacko Boban for the first time in his career. The movie's cast and crew unveiled a poster announcing the release date. On October 17, the much-anticipated film will premiere on big screens. The multi-starrer film boasts a strong star cast featuring Kunchacko Boban, Fahadh Faasil, Jyothirmayi, Sharaf U Dheen, Sridnaa, and Veena Nandakumar, in the major roles.
The makers of Bougainvillea recently dropped its first song titled, STHUTHI, which is sung by Mary Ann Alexander and Sushin Shyam. As shown in the music video, Kunchacko Boban and Jyothirmayi dance to the lively tune. But its lyrics and visuals have also gotten it into trouble. The song was criticised by the Syro Malabar Church, who claimed it gave a negative impression of Christianity.
Along with Lajo Jose, Amal Neerad co-wrote the script for the movie. The original score and songs are by Sushsin Shyam. The director of photography is Anend C Chandran. Vivek Harshan is in charge of editing. Kunchacko Boban and Jyothirmayi have bankrolled the movie under the banners of Amal Neerad Productions and Udhaya Pictures.
