Boomika: The second trailer of Aishwarya Rajesh-starrer movie released by Netflix

Netflix has released another trailer of Boomika starring Aishwarya Rajesh. Directed by Rathindran R Prasad, the ecological horror mystery will be another Tamil movie that will have a direct OTT release. Boomika will skip a theatrical release and will premiere on Vijay TV on August 22 and will release on Netflix on August 23. 

Touted to be a mystery that will slowly unravel itself, the film follows the lives of Gayathri and Gautham as they try to convert a run-down school into a resort. However, strange events and scary incidents start happening around them during their mission. 

The latest trailer opens with a few long shots of the dense forests and hills with a voice-over saying that “The earth is communicating with us every minute”. This is followed by an ominous background score, which sets the suspense and pace for the movie.

The trailer is dark and does not reveal much about what awaits us. What starts off with shots of beautiful nature soon turns into a dash of emotions of fear and paranoia as we see multiple characters running, banging the doors and screaming. The movie looks to be a smart horror mystery that is also technically sound. 

The first trailer for Boomika was released by Think Music India earlier last week. The film written and directed by Rathindran R Prasad is bankrolled by Karthik Subbaraj’s production banner Stone Bench Films. Apart from Aishwarya Rajesh, the movie also features Vidhu, Pavel Navageethan, Madhuri, Ayaan Abhishek, Surya Ganapathy and Avantika Vandanapu. 

Aishwarya was last seen in the crime thriller Thittam Irandu directed by Vignesh Karthick, which was released on Sony Liv.
