Aha has been bagging rights to multiple Tamil and Kannada films of late and is releasing them on Aha in Telugu. Its latest release, Aha, stunned everyone by making over 150 million streaming minutes. Next in line is Yogi Babu's comedy caper, Boomer Uncle. The film, released on March 29, 2024, is all set to stream on Aha.
Boomer Uncle to release in Telugu on Aha
The popular Telugu platform has bagged the digital rights to the Tamil movie for a very minimal price and will make it available for streaming starting July 20, 2024. Swadees MS directed Boomer Uncle, and Oviya played the lead role in the film, which was made on a meagre budget.
Only a few were aware of the film in the first place, as it flopped in a big way during its time of release. Aha, Tamil bagged the digital rights, and the OTT reception was also quite dull for Boomer Uncle. But now, Aha has dubbed it in Telugu, and we need to see how it will perform when it starts streaming on Aha.
Satish Mohan, Robo Shankar, Madhan Bob, Sona Heiden, and KPY Bala played pivotal roles in the film, with MS Bhaskar making a special appearance. The film features cinematography by Subash Dhandabani. The music, including songs and a background score, is composed by Dharma Prakash and Santhan Anebajagane.
Anbu and Karthik K. Thillai produced Boomer Uncle under the Anka Media banner, and they made little money at the box office. Yogi Babu also has a decent following in Telugu states, and we need to see if the Telugu release will gain traction on Aha. Watch this space for more updates.
