SJ Suryah's long-delayed Bommai is finally gearing up to hit screens tomorrow (June 16) in theatres worldwide. Ahead of the release, the team got the best wishes from none other than Amitabh Bachchan himself.
Taking to his social media handle, Big B dropped a sneak peek of the team and wished them his very best. SK An excited SJ Suryah thanked the veteran actor and wrote on his social media handle, "Thx a lot SAAB ….. Great blessing tweet from The Legend @SrBachchanSAAB Love U SAAB waiting for the real miracle this movie success will make it happen (sic)."
It is to be noted that Amitabh Bachchan and SJ Suryah had earlier come together for a bilingual film, titled Uyarntha Manithan (Tera Yaar Hoon Main). The film, which was helmed by Kalvanin Kadhali director Tamilvannan, was supposed to mark the debut of Bachchan in Tamil.
In the sneak peek, which spans a little more than two minutes, SJ Suryah is seen fluctuating from one emotion to another with relative ease. Priya Bhavani Shankar plays the leading lady in the film. Interestingly, this is the second time that SJ Suryah and Priya Bhavani Shankar are coming together for a film after their last outing, Monster. The film was inspired by the American slapstick comedy Mouse Hunt, and was directed by Nelson Venkatesan.
Bommai, on the other hand, is directed by Radhamohan, who had earlier made feel-good dramas like Mozhi, Abhiyum Naanum and Kaatrin Mozhi. While the music for the film is by Yuvan Shankar Raja, cinematography is by Richard M Nathan, editing by Anthony and lyrics are by Madhan Karky.
The plot revolves around a man, who falls in love with a mannequin and the romantic drama is bank
rolled by Dr V Maruthu Pandian, Dr Jasmine Santhosh, Dr Dheepa T Durai, under the banner, Angel Studios.
