Yesterday, the ace sportsperson Neeraj Chopra created history and how! The ace sportsman that he is, created history of sorts by bagging the first-ever gold medal for India at the World Athletics Championships. Neeraj Chopra achieved a winning throw of 88.17 meters during his second attempt, which was qualifying enough for the man to have the gold medal reserved for him. Neeraj Chopra competed against the likes of many accomplished athletes from all over the globe in the men's javelin throw final, which was held in Budapest, Hungary.

No sooner did Neeraj Chopra bagged the gold medal in javelin throw, congratulatory messages started flowing in from all quarters. Bollywood was no different. There were many celebs from the showbiz industry who took to social media and congratulated the young star sportsman.

There was Shahid Kapoor who had posted a photograph of the ‘golden boy’ Neeraj Chopra holding the gleaming gold medal. On the other hand, Kareena Kapoor Khan took to social media and shared a video of the award-winning (read ‘gold-winning’) throw of Neeraj Chopra in the from the tournament.
