Bobby Deol's Aashram coming to an end, Prakash Jha confirms with a new promo | Watch

After years of entertaining people as Baba Nirala in Aashram, it looks like the web series which gave Bobby Deol his comeback, could be coming to an end. The makers have announced that season 4 will mark the end of Aashram. To confirm the same, they have released a new promo from the show.

Aashram coming to an end

While announcing the new season, the makers wrote, "Kahaani ab tak," adding, "Badhegi ab ant ki aur." This is a clear indication that season 4 will mark the end of the series. However, before that, the makers decided to add a new season, which is more like a recap of what happened so far.

Kahani Ab Tak announced

The promo introduced us to Ek Badnaam... Aashram - Kahani Ab Tak. The same is about what happened around Baba Nirala so far, and this time, he is exposed and thrown out. Nonetheless, Nirala refuses to step down and wants to build a new world. The promo ended with Nirala's warning, "Bahut paas hoon main tere, aa raha hoon."

Kahani Ab Tak release date

Prakash Jha’s Aashram - Kahani Ab Tak is scheduled for July 21 release. As always, the show will be out on MX Player. Whether this is the fourth season or just an extension of season 3, is still unclear. Buzz is, the final season i.e. season 4 could release in December and this is just a trailer of what is to come.

What season 4 could bring

Aashram is inspired from various real-life stories of babas, including Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh. He was convicted of rape and murder in 2017, so if that is the story which the makers follow, then Nirala’s story is also likely to end with him in prison. Although he hints of starting a new world (all over again), Nirala is exposed and there’s little that he can do to save himself at this point. Thus, it looks like Nirala will lose in all and end up in jail, which will mark the end of the series.
