Bob Biswas: All you need to know about the Kahaani character before Abhishek Bachchan’s film releases

The mysterious character from Vidya Balan’s Kahaani is back! This time, Abhishek Bachchan plays the role of Bob Biswas in the film produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. Saswata Chatterjee played the original role and took people aback with his character.

Bob Biswas is the story about a banker turning into a sadistic criminal. Unhappy with his job and life altogether, Bob chose a life of crime. Since he was also paid highly for the job, he happily chose that kind of a life.

As a man, Bob became very bitter, to the extent that killing people gave him pleasure. He would smile and walk with a gun attached to a silencer, searching for his new target.

A very memorable scene from Kahaani involved Saswata conducting an evil task without leaving so much as a smirk on his face. He performed the scene with a poker face so brilliantly that it is not only etched into people’s minds but gives them goosebumps even today. The scene has him interacting with Vidya (also her character name) at the railway station and pushing her towards a metro train approaching the platform. In the same instance, Bob pulled her back without flinching.

He was then seen following her to the streets of Kolkata. However, Bob met with an accident. The Bob played by Abhishek is likely the story of what happened to the character after he met with an accident in the midst of killing Vidya Bagchi (Vidya Balan) in Kahaani. Of course, the film also goes into flashbacks in order to show just how cruel Bob was in the past.

He was a mysterious character and was considered to be a figment of imagination - a character created for a make-believe story. The thought first occurred when Vidya revealed the whole truth behind her very existence.

Bob Biswas, written by Kahaani director Sujoy Ghosh, is likely to explore whether the character is real or made-up. It is also likely to take us through his end or let us know if it is just the beginning.

The movie is slated to release on Zee5 on December 3. All mysteries will unfold with its release. So, stay tuned.
