Bloody Daddy is the highly anticipated OTT venture starring Shahid Kapoor. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the action crime drama movie also has Diana Penty, Sanjay Kapoor and Ronit Bose Roy in pivotal roles. 

The makers dropped the stunning official trailer of the film a few weeks ago and garnered immense praise from movie buffs. The trailer sees how Shahid finds himself in trapped in a dilemma due to a drug lord (Ronit Roy). Netizens took to social media and shared their reaction to the trailer. Some loved Shahid in the rugged avatar, while some praised the high-octane sequences of the film

Reportedly, the forthcoming flick has been made with a budget of around Rs 100 crores. 

The Ali Abbas Zafar directorial is a remake of the French film Sleepless Night, which has been already adapted into a Kamal Haasan starrer Tamil movie titled Thoongaa Vanam, which is directed by Rajesh M. Selva and also has Prakash Raj, Trisha, Kishore, Sampath Raj, Guru Somasundaram, Yugi Sethu, Aman Abdullah, Asha Sharath, Madhu Shalini and Jagan in key roles.

Shahid portrays the role of an NCB officer named Sumair and Ronit plays a vicious drug lord alongside Diana, who is a lawyer, while Sanjay appears to be a ruthless gangster. Rajeev Khandelwal, Ankur Bhatia, Vivan Bhathena, Zeishan Quadri, Mukesh Bhhatt and Sartaaj Kakkar also essay important characters.

Along with directing, Zafar has written the Jio Studios' produced film as well alongside Aditya Basu and Siddharth–Garima.

Bloody Daddy is all set for direct-to-OTT release on Jio Cinema on June 9, 2023.
