Bloodhounds Season 2 announced: Woo Do-hwan and Lee Sang-yi to reprise their boxer roles. Korean singer and actor Rain joined the cast as a rival.

Bloodhounds is one of the most popular South Korean action dramas on Netflix. It was recently announced that the series is coming with season two. The first season came in 2023 and was rated as one of the best Korean series of the year. Woo Do-hwan and Lee Sang-yi will be reprising their boxer roles. Now joins K-pop singer and songwriter Rain. He is also best known for Red Swan K-drama (2024).
On January 16, the first script reading session for Bloodhounds season 2 was held. The event was attended by Woo Do-hwan, Lee Sang-yi, and Rain. The trio posed together in the same frame, raising anticipation for the premiere.
Sang-yi and Do-hwan will reprise their roles, and they will be joined by singer-actor Rain in the new season. Additionally, as per some reports, 2PM's Chansung is also expected to join the cast of the second season.
Bloodhounds is based on a popular webtoon of the same name and was first released in 2023. The first season followed the story of two boxers, Gun Woo and Woo Lin, played by Woo Do-hwan and Lee Sang-yi, respectively. They fought the dark forces of underground illegal loan sharks.
In the second season, two former UFC fighters take part in an illegal boxing league led by Baek Jeong (Rain). This is the first time in the two-decade acting career that Rain will play the role of an antagonist.
Bloodhounds debuted on Netflix in 2023. The action noir show ranked in the Top 10 across 83 countries on the OTT platform. Bloodhounds Season 2 is written and directed by Kim Joo-hwan.
Meanwhile, both Woo Do-hwan and Lee Sang-yi had a memorable 2024. While Do-hwan was featured in 2024's one of the most loved K-dramas, Mr. Plankton, his previous project includes The King: Eternal Monarch. On the other hand, Sang-yi was a part of No Gain No Love and led its spinoff Spice Up Our Love. His previous projects are My Demon, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, and more.
