The world has been hooked on Sacred Games ever since the series first premiered on Netflix, giving the streaming platform a new direction to flourish in India. For years, fans have wondered about a possible season three of the hit show, created by Vikramaditya Motwane and Varun Grover, with Anurag Kashyap as co-director. While Sacred Games 3 is not on the horizon, Motwane has reunited with Netflix for another dark thriller titled Black Warrant. This series tells the gripping real-life story of a young jailer who joins Tihar Jail and faces numerous harrowing challenges.
About Black Warrant

From the creative powerhouse of Vikramaditya Motwane and Satyanshu Singh—serving as showrunners and directors—alongside Ambiecka Pandit, Arkesh Ajay, and Rohin Raveendran Nair, Black Warrant promises a raw, unfiltered dive into Tihar Jail. The series is based on the book Black Warrant: Confessions of a Tihar Jailer, written by Sunil Gupta and Sunetra Choudhury.

When and Where to Watch
Black Warrant is set to release on Netflix on January 10, 2025. The seven-episode series, with episodes running close to an hour each, will be available to all Netflix subscribers without any additional cost.
