We had earlier reported that Tamil film Black will be hitting theatres on October 11. Starring actors Jiiva and Priya Bhavani Shankar in the lead roles. Now, the runtime of the film has been revealed.
Actors Priya Bhavani Shankar and Jiiva will be pairing up for the first time in the upcoming Tamil film Black. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on October 11, one day after the release of Rajinikanth-starrer Vettaiyan.
Now, the runtime of Black has been revealed. The film is under two hours, with one hour and 58 minutes of runtime. Black is a horror thriller film. The plot revolves around Vasanth and Aaranya who move to their new row house for peace and privacy. However, following a violent storm, their marriage turns topsy turvy with the interference of a mysterious force that havocs their lives.
The film is said to be a remake of the 2013 Hollywood film Coherence. However, the makers did not officially confirm the original film’s name, while disclosing that Black is a remake of an American film. Apart from Jiiva, the film also stars Priya Bhavani Shankar, Vivek Prasanna and others. It marks the first time Jiiva and Priya Bhavani Shankar will be collaborating onscreen. It is directed by Balasubramani KG.
The technical crew consists of Sam CS scoring the music and Philomin Raj handling the edits. Gokul Benoy has cranked the camera. It is produced by Potential Studios production banner which has made films like Maya, Maanagaram, Monster, Taanakkaran and Irugapatru.
Black will be sharing the weekend box office with Vettaiyan, which is scheduled to hit theatres a day before, on October 10. The film is directed by TJ Gnanavel and stars Rajinikanth in the lead role. Backed by Lyca Productions, Vettaiyan also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Manju Warrier, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Dushara Vijayan, Ritika Singh, and others.
