The first look from Black Adam is out and one word to describe it is 'Grand'! Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson plays the role of Black Adam in the film but he isn't the only one. The former Bond, Pierce Brosnan has joined this world and introduces it.
At the beginning of Black Adam promo, we see two people like Dwayne Johnson holding arms to welcome people into their world. They are more like the gatekeepers built around a world close to Istanbul/Jerusalem (owing to the dome shaped houses), where they all can witness the beauty of the sun and lake.
Pierce joins in the promo and states he has never seen the likes of the film. He plays the role of Dr. Fate in the film. The actor, who has played James Bond four times over a decade, feels 'nothing compares to this'.

We then meet Aldis Hodge, who reveals he plays Hawkman in the film. Soon, Quintessa Swindell states that she plays Cyclone. Meanwhile, we get a glimpse of their super cool uniform too. Then, Noah Centineo goes on to state that he plays Atom Smasher in the movie.
Post their introduction, Pierce reveals that Dwayne Johnson leads the whole charge. Aldis then calls him 'more brutal, uncompromising and ruled by the depths of his pain'.
Dwayne introduces his own character as 'Man in Black' while stating he has worked his 'fingers to the bone'. The actor also mentions he is 'born to play' Black Adam. He also states that the hierarchy of power is going to change in the DC universe with the introduction of this character. For the uninitiated, Batman, followed by Superman, are ranked the highest in power in the DC universe, at least when looking at the protagonists.
Soon, we get to see a woman talk about another DC superhero, Shazam. It is to be noted that Black Adam and Shazam's powers superhero suits and powers are almost similar. They both use flash to cause destruction. Of course, The Flash (like in the name itself) also uses this superpower but he gets superspeed owing to the power of the flash, unlike Shazam and Black Adam.
Thanks to the mysterious woman awakening a mysterious being, Black Adam comes into existence. We also get a glimpse of how strong he really is, through the 33 second promo. Black Adam literally turned a man into ashes and dodged a bullet with ease. Thus, it is no wonder that Dwayne states Black Adam could bring in a change in the DC hierarchy.
Black Adam, helmed by Jaime Collet-Serra, is the first movie in a franchise film, if the makers have anything planned for it. It is slated to release in cinemas on July 29, 2022.
