As Kiccha Sudeep's fans gear up for his birthday, his Vikrant Rona director has come forward with an important announcement

Fans of Kiccha Sudeep are eagerly looking forward to exciting movie updates on his birthday on September 2. With the actor boasting not one but multiple films as part of the current slate, one expects this first Saturday of September to shed more light on what's in store.
In this vein, the makers of Kichcha 46 are all set to unveil the title of the film through a special teaser, which is scheduled to drop at 12 a.m. sharp on September 2. A lot of anticipation surrounds this teaser, considering that Sudeep has stated in the past that he is excited about the genre he is attempting in this case. Also, with a debutant director in place and a well-known Tamil producer like Kalaippuli S Thanu backing it, one is certainly curious to know what the film is all about.
No Billa Ranga Baasha update, says Anup Bhandari
Alongside, fans were also hopeful of Sudeep's second collaboration with Anup Bhandari being announced on the former's 52nd birthday. Although Anup is yet to formally confirm the title of the said collaboration, he has nevertheless dropped various hints over time to suggest that he and Sudeep will soon be working on Billa Ranga Baasha.
In his recent chat with OTTplay, the filmmaker said that his film will require at least six months of pre-production and that he plans on taking it on floors by the end of 2024. An official announcement, as it were, was expected to happen a few weeks ago but it came to the fore that Sudeep would first work on Kichcha 46 with Vijay Karthikeya and then, most likely, join Anup Bhandari & Co for Billa Ranga Baasha. The latest development concerning this film is that we'll have to wait a bit longer for the announcement.
Taking to social media, Anup Bhandari said:
"I know you are all eagerly waiting for an update from my side & trust me I am equally eager to share. But it is a collective decision from the team to postpone things for now, as there are exciting updates about other projects planned for today. Thank you for understanding!"
What is Billa Ranga Baasha about?
Though his filmography includes only three credits as a director, Anup Bhandari has proven nevertheless that he loves to tell grand and larger-than-life stories on the big screen. If Vikrant Rona took us to the past, Billa Ranga Baashaa is set to take us nearly 200 years in the future with the story set in 2209 A.D. Sudeep expectedly will be seen in a distinctive avatar in the film but the focus will remain on the world that Anup & Co. have put together, considering the setting and the chosen era. It emerged recently that the team has begun pre-production which could mean that an update is around the corner.
