Bigg Boss Ultimate: Silambarasan is getting THIS sum as the new host of the reality show

After Kamal Haasan bowed out from hosting duties on Bigg Boss Ultimate, fans were left wondering who would be chosen to fill the big shoes the star host left. Many names were floated about as fans discussed who Haasan’s replacement could be, including those of Sarath Kumar, Ramya Krishnan and Prakash Raj. Finally, Silambarasan was revealed as the show’s new host, which was recently announced in a swanky promo. And it seems that in order to bring his star power to the reality show, Silambarasan has been offered a whopping amount by makers.

According to a report in Indiaglitz, the actor is reportedly being paid Rs.1 crore for each episode he appears on. The star is said to shoot for the show over the course of five or six days, with his part being filmed over the weekends.

Bigg Boss Ultimate is the digital spin-off of the popular reality series Bigg Boss Tamil, the fifth season of which completed its run last month. The new series contestants included participants on the previous seasons of Bigg Boss Tamil such as Balaji Murugadoss, Thadi Balaji, Snehan, Thamarai, Abhirami, Anitha, Niroop, Julie and Suruthi. Haasan had stepped off as host following the end of the third week of the show, as he had to fulfill his shooting commitments for his upcoming film, Vikram, which also stars Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil.

Meanwhile, in addition to his hosting duties, Silambarasan is currently working on an array of film projects as well. Some of his upcoming releases include Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu, Pathu Thala and Corona Kumar.
