Jithan Ramesh has signed his first project after being a contestant on the popular reality show Bigg Boss Tamil. The film, titled Route No 17, is directed by Abhilash G Devan, a former associate of critically acclaimed Malayalam filmmaker Kannan Thampithanam. While Anju Pandiya plays the leading lady in the film, Hareesh Peradi plays the antagonist and Aruvi Madhan appears in a crucial role. The supporting cast includes Amar Ramachandran, Nihas, Akil Prabhakaran, Jennifer, Bindhu, Kasi Viswanathan and Titus.

To make sure that Jithan Ramesh doesn’t disappoint his fans after his Bigg Boss stint, the actor has taken lots of risks performing the stunt sequences without using any dupes. He has shot a major sequence in a 5,500 sq. ft set work of a cave erected below the ground level, in a thick forest located near Tenkasi. Many other actors alongside Jithan Ramesh have also acted in these sequences.

Since the cave is below the underground, there is free flow of air. Using a fan would have been the only way for some comfort. Nonetheless, feeling that it will hamper the realistic output of the film, Jithan Ramesh endured the heat and humid conditions at 35 degrees Celsius, for 14 hours a day for 22 days.  When he was unable to bear the heat, he would sprinkle water on himself. He would immediately get back to shooting the sequences without taking a break.

Ouseppachan, one of the most acclaimed music directors in Malayalam is composing music for this film that has songs with lyrics penned by Yugabharathi, Ku Karthik, and Kavignar Senthamizhdasan.

The film is said to be a revenge thriller set in three different time periods. The film’s first look that was revealed recently has garnered a good response. Meanwhile, Amar Ramachandran of Neni Productions is bankrolling .  A noteworthy fact is that he is the director of Thai Nilam that won 14 International Awards.
