From what we hear, Bigg Boss OTT will not serve the six-month waiting period this time. Even though Bigg Boss 18 ended in January and generally there's a gap till August (as seen even in Anil Kapoor's Bigg Boss OTT 3, which commenced on August 2), we hear that Bigg Boss OTT 4 is preponed. The OTT version of Bigg Boss is likely to be out in July this year.

The makers might just retain the freshness every season of Bigg Boss OTT brings. There's a new host every season. Bigg Boss OTT commenced with Karan Johar. The second season brought the TV host Salman Khan on board, and the third season was hosted by Anil Kapoor, who made his OTT hosting debut with the show. However, there's a strong buzz that neither Salman nor Anil would return for Bigg Boss OTT 4. Who could it be, is the real question. If following the trends, either an actor or filmmaker will host this season. We might end up seeing Farah Khan or Rohit Shetty, who often end up as hosts on Bigg Boss' TV version too, but there's no confirmation on the same so far.

The difference in Bigg Boss TV and Bigg Boss OTT

Bigg Boss OTT first commenced as a platform to introduce contestants to TV with Salman Khan. However, the idea was dropped after the very first season. The first season was also uncensored but with stricter rules, everything said and done inside the house started being censored for the episodes aired. The live broadcast often took more liberties but the makers do beep out words even during the live broadcast from time to time. The focus of Bigg Boss OTT, at least since the second season, has been to bring faces more popular on social media to the forefront. TV, of course, remains for celebs popular on and beyond the very medium.
