This season of ‘Bigg Boss OTT’ has been making news for many right and wrong reasons. At first, it was the untimely and sudden eviction of the social media sensation ‘Puneet Superstar’. If that wasn’t shocking enough, Palak Purswani too got evicted within a few days, thus leaving many of her fans extremely disappointed. The latest update is that, she is now all set to enter the ‘Bigg Boss OTT 2’ house in tonight’s episode of ‘Weekend Kaa Vaar’ as she has to ask a few ‘important questions’ to her ex-boyfriend Avinash Sachdeva and her best frie nd Jiya Shankar.

OTTplay caught up with the actress for an exclusive conversation

Hey Palak! How are you doing? Is everything fine?
I am not doing well yaa… but I am trying to cope up still... I am feeling a little low. It was a challenging journey altogether.

Before you entered the 'Bigg Boss OTT 2’s journey, you were one ‘enthu-cutlet’ who was brimming with confidence and enthusiasm. Has that enthusiasm died right now?
Ah… definitely, I am with my mixed feelings. Because, I honestly thought I deserved to be in this show. I deserved it more than a lot of contestants sitting there in that house. And… five days was known enough. It was very unfair on my part, or anybody's part for that matter, because I, any which ways entered the show after two days. That was already challenging when specially there were two people sitting in the house against me, and trying to obviously fill people’s ears against me, which was done. So, I entered the game only on a very negative note. So that was very challenging. Despite all those challenges, I tried to make my space in that house.

But you were successful in collecting the BB currency…
I was pretty successful in collecting the BB currency to survive. That was the second challenge that I faced in the house. Then, I was successful in making my space in the house and also in making genuine friends. I did try to mend things also with Jiya. So, my graph was growing very organically and nothing was forced, to be honest. I was true to myself. I showed my real personality, although I feel that show is all about people playing some or the other characters. Hence, they are laughing in the show. The last thing that you could just do is be your real self. And that’s why they call it as a reality show. I think somewhere being my real self and being the kind of person I am, it just somewhere backfired.

After you got evicted, social media was flooded with messages of ‘Bring back Palak’. Are you aware of that?
Yes! I am aware. After I came out, Twitter was flooding with ‘Bring Palak Back’. Even the polls also, I had more votes than Avinash did. So, it's not just me talking, people are also calling it as an unfair eviction. Why would you put an angle of an ‘ex’ if you wanted to pull me out in five days? The whole thing didn’t make sense to me and I was really taken aback. I was left wondering about where did I lack!

You feel that Avinash played dirty with you inside the house?
When I was in the house, there were many things which Avinash had said. He really made the game dirty. And I didn't go that outlook of taking revenge from him. My intention was not that at all, because we did spend a few years. And, this was not with an intention to even get him back. But unnecessarily creating that negativity and drama was something that was uncalled for. Even when I asked him why he nominated me, the kind of answers that he gave had no base at all! I didn't speak any sh** about him in the show. But when I came back, and I saw the episode, I was so disappointed. How could you even use statements like ‘I was out of love’? This was so denying the fact that he didn't cheat on me? I mean, he had an option to stay quiet, don't speak up and say anything about the relationship by yourself, but don't lie on national television! He has pushed me to that level to speak up the truth which I didn’t do for two years. That really put me off!

Do you have any bad blood towards Jiya?
No, I don't have any black bad blood towards Jiya. Honestly. I did try to mend things with her. I did. Because I wanted to just clear that air and it was a very stupid reason for just unfollowing each other (on social media). She was always somebody who wanted that attention from me and I am somebody who has earned a lot of friends in my life. So maybe she felt a little left out. She felt bad about certain things. Somewhere she felt a little insecure. I told her that, there's a bro code that you're telling but today you're sitting with my own ex on this show and bad mouthing about me! At that time, what happened to your bro-code? Later on, we did try to mend things. When she'll be out, I would want to speak to her about this.
