Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 6, the new edition of the popular reality show hosted by Mohanlal has been making headlines lately for all wrong reasons. The Asianet show, which has been receiving major criticism for the selection of contestants, is now caught in some major controversies due to the “unfair” evictions and back-to-back exits of contestants. Meanwhile, Akhil Marar, the winner of Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 5 took to his Instagram live recently and made some serious allegations against BBMS6.
Akhil Marar lashes out at Bigg Boss Malayalam 6 makers
The former winner lashed out at the makers of Bigg Boss Malayalam 6 in his recent Instagram live video and alleged that the show is now functioning solely according to the personal interests of the Asianet channel’s top management. Akhil Marar, who confirmed that he has never faced any issues from the Bigg Boss Malayalam team, added that he still maintains a warm bond with the team. However, after witnessing DJ Sibin’s plight on the show, he made some revelations.
Shockingly, Akhil Marar claimed that the Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 6 team tried to show DJ Sibin as a mentally weak contestant, and even gave him some medicines for psychological issues when he was on the show. The film director, who revealed that two individuals in the top management of Asianet are solely responsible for this, added that he is ready to quit films if he is proven wrong. He also added that the contestants, especially the women, were badly exploited by this team. According to the director, host Mohanlal is completely unaware of these moves.

The Bigg Boss Malayalam 5 winner also added that these unnamed members of the Asianet team even asked for a commission from the remuneration of many contestants, in exchange for a chance to enter the show. Akhil Marar revealed that he respected his contract with Asianet for the longest time, which is why he kept quiet. According to the filmmaker, many members of the Bigg Boss Malayalam team, including director Arjun left the show due to the same. Another creative head named Rubina has been sidelined in season 6.
Bigg Boss Malayalam seasons have a fixed winner?
Akhil Marar also alleged that Bigg Boss Malayalam team always had a fixed title winner, in all its seasons. The former contestant feels that DJ Sibin was thrown out of the show because of his increasing popularity among the show’s audiences, beating the fixed winner of this season. According to Marar, the team tried the same with him during the fifth season, but that strategy failed. Akhil Marar also revealed that Pearly Maaney was the fixed winner of Season 1, but eventually Sabumon won the trophy thanks to the audience's support.
