The highly anticipated grand finale of Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 5 is set to take place on Sunday. After spending 100 days in locked in the house, away from the comforts of urban lifestyle, one winner will be picked from the top five contestants in the final epsiode. The finale will be broadcast on Aishent on Sunday at 7 PM, and for those who prefer streaming, it will also be simultaneously available on Disney+Hotstar.

Shiju AR, Reneesha Rahiman, Junaiz VP, Akhil Marar, and Sobha Viswanath have emerged as the top five finalists of the season after surviving several weeks of intense competition and eliminations. The winner will be determined based on the number of votes they have garnered during the final week. The fortunate contestant will not only take home the prestigious winner's trophy but also be awarded a generous cash prize of Rs 50 lakh.

The fifth season of Bigg Boss Malayalam commenced on March 26 with the return of superstar Mohanlal as the host for the fifth time. Alongside the daily highlight episodes showcasing the day's events, the showrunners introduced a 24x7 streaming feature on Disney+Hotstar, allowing fans to stay connected and engaged with the happenings inside the Bigg Boss house.

The season commenced with a diverse mix of 18 contestants , including a notable addition to the show's history—a commoner. Gopika Gopi, a 24-year-old woman from Muvattupuzha and a single mother working at a courier service office, became the first non-celebrity participant in the Malayalam version of Bigg Boss. However, Gopika's journey on the show was short-lived as she faced eviction on the 25th day.

The grand finale promises an exciting lineup of entertainment, including a lively comedy skit performed by popular actors and ex-Bigg Boss contestants Nobi, Kutty Akhil, Sooraj, Manju Pathrose, Remya Panicker, and Rithu Manthra, including multiple dance performances. And there will also be a special musical performance by singer Gowri Lakshmi and musician Stephen Devassy.
