Bigg Boss Kannada Season 10 is set to kick off on October 8 at a new house, with 18 contestants from different walks of life. Kiccha Sudeep, who has served as host right from Season 1 returns this time too. Sudeep’s hosting of the show has always been mentioned as one of its major highlights, which makes one wonder how much preparation goes into his effort.
Speaking at the official press meet to announce the start of Bigg Boss Kannada Season 10 on October 3, Sudeep said that it would be impossible for him to come on the show with a pre-determined routine. One of the biggest debates about Bigg Boss, said Sudeep, is about how much of it is scripted and how much is not. But for the mandatory mentions of sponsor partners, everything that Sudeep says and does is based on his perception of the happenings of the week. “My emotions cannot be scripted,” said the actor, adding, “Every year, there are 18 different people on the show, with different personalities and behaviours. I react to what they do and say, either during the tasks or interpersonal conversations, etc. If I decide what to say and do for the weekend show at home without any reference of what has gone on in the house, I will go wrong. My best comes from my contestants.”
On a show for instance, all that Sudeep gets from the team is a gist of all that has happened and certain talking points. “Once I pose a question to a contestant, the rest of my conversation with him/her is then dependent on what he/she says. That is a live interaction, so how can my reaction and response be scripted? Their answers are also not scripted. Whatever I say is based on my instinct and presence of mind,” he adds.
Bigg Boss Kannada Season 10 will be telecast on Colors Kannada at 9.30 pm, with a one-and-a-half hour episode. However, the show will be available to stream 24/7 on JioCinema for free.
