Bigg Boss Kannada OTT: Rakesh Adiga, Saanya Iyer, and Roopesh Shetty head to the finals!

The Monday of the penultimate week of Bigg Boss Kannada OTT was kicked off with the mandatory nomination process. With Chaitra Hallikeri and Akshatha Kukki exiting the previous, the remaining 8 contestants were on thin ice considering that a majority of them would be nominated.

Previously, Mangaluru boy Roopesh Shetty earned the house captaincy status which propelled him directly into the finale week, much to the delight of his fans out there. In the same vein, Rakesh Adiga too found a sweet spot in the finale as he skipped the eliminations this week because of an audience poll. Prior to the nominations, the digital audience was asked to vote for a contestant of their choice and save the from the penultimate round of eliminations: Rakesh Adiga, who is currently standing tall as one of the favourites to win the show, came through as the obvious pick on the poll.

Jashwant Bopanna and Saanya Iyer waded the nomination process which meant that one of the two was to be picked by the captain (Roopesh Shetty) and placed in the danger zone of eliminations. Roopesh, who found himself choosing between two of his closest pals inside the house, took Saanya along with him to the finale week, thus causing Jashwant Bopanna to face the elimination threat.

The nominated contestants in week #5 are Aryavardhan Guruji, Jayshree Aradhya, Sonu Gowda, Nandini, and Jaswant Bopanna. Jayshree, who has survived several eliminations so far, received the most number of nominations with Sonu Gowda and Aryavardhan Guruji too receiving a fair share for myriad reasons.

The opening edition of Bigg Boss Kannada OTT spans only seven weeks as opposed to the traditional format that airs on TV over 120 episodes. With only a handful number of days left in the OTT version, one can expect multiple eliminations to occur this coming Saturday, thus leaving only the top league of contestants to battle it out for the glory.
