After hinting at wanting to let go off his hosting duties on Bigg Boss Kannada only months ago, Kiccha Sudeep was confirmed as the host of the new Season not long ago. And when he then announced that he would be leaving the show at the end of the season, it got tongues wagging about all the possible behind-the-scenes scenarios that could have contributed to his decision.
Social media is abuzz with theories about why Sudeep suddenly decided he’s had enough of Bigg Boss Kannada, considering that he’s just begun hosting Season 11. Growing difference of opinions between Sudeep and the showrunners is supposedly central among them. For instance, former contestant Rupesh Rajanna has claimed that Sudeep was unhappy with the fact that the showrunners have taken up a lenient attitude towards anyone speaking in English in the house, which used to be a complete no-no earlier.
In a now deleted video, Rupesh claimed that Sudeep’s right-hand man Chakravarthy Chandrachud apprised him of the issues within the house that have not gone well with the host, including about making sanitary provisions for the women contestants who’d been sent to hell, among others.
Taking to social media, Sudeep has now sought to dispel these rumours, claiming that there is no issue whatsoever with the showrunners and that there’s always been an atmosphere of respect for each other. Sudeep has urged people to refrain from making assumptions about conflicts between him and the showrunners.
The timing of the departure announcement is the issue. Had Sudeep not taken up hosting duties for Season 11 after giving a long speech about how taxing it was for him to juggle between his film set and Bigg Boss Kannada Season 10, the reactions would not have been as severe. His fans were, anyway, hopeful that he would relinquish his post as host and instead focus on film work
