Namratha Gowda was one of the most popular contestants of the ongoing 10th season of Bigg Boss Kannada and was widely believed to be a definite shoo in for the finale week. While she was not a frontrunner for the title, fans thought that she’d be in the house till the very end. Unfortunately, her time on the show ran out last weekend, leaving 6 contestants and the possibility of a mid-week elimination in the run-up to next week’s finale.
Bigg Boss Kannada 10 has been the season that’s seen the most heated arguments and fights between contestants, with housemates split into several groups. Namratha was in Vinay Gowda’s group. Speaking to Filmy First after her eviction, Namratha said that one thing she missed the most during her time in the Bigg Boss Kannada house was a good bond with a fellow female contestant.
Bigg Boss Kannada Season 10 had a fair share of female contestants, including rapper Eshani, Chitral, Neethu, Pavi, Bhagyashree, Siri, Tanisha Kuppanda and Sangeetha Sringeri. While Namratha had fairly decent interactions with most fellow housemates, and got close to a few, there is one in particular that she could just not gel with.
Namratha said that while she had become genuinely close to Sangeetha in the last few weeks, she could not find common ground on anything with Tanisha. “I could not connect with her till the very end,” said Namratha about Tanisha, who’d been evicted only days prior to her in a mid-week elimination. “We fought a lot in the house, but I don’t hate her,” added Namratha.
As for her bond with Sangeetha, who is widely rumoured to be the possible winner of the show, Namratha said that she found someone she could talk to and that their friendship was genuine. “I did not befriend her as a game strategy; instead, it was a means to find peace and comfort in the house,” she explained.
Bigg Boss Kannada 10 is streaming on JioCinema. The grand finale of the show will be held on January 28.
