Bigg Boss Kannada 10 grand finale – Vinay Gowda evicted as third runner-up

The second elimination of Bigg Boss Kannada Season 10 grand finale part 2 on Sunday, January 28 has taken place. And this time around, it was the turn of Bigg Boss Kannada’s aane, Vinay Gowda, to end his journey on the show. When former housemates were asked about who should be sent home, most of them said that Drone Pratap’s time has run out, while others named Karthik Mahesh.

For the elimination, the four remaining finalists were made to sit on chairs with their pictures attached on a turntable. After each turn, one contestant’s chair would be empty, indicating that he/she could be out. First it was Pratap, then Sangeetha, but they returned to their chairs. Unfortunately, when it came to Vinay’s turn, he didn’t. His elimination came as a big shock not only to the remaining finalists, but also his close pals, Namratha Gowda and Eshani.

Vinay’s elimination as the third runner-up came as a bit of a shocker, as the actor was thought to be one of the strongest contenders for the title. The championship battle was widely believed to be between Vinay and Sangeetha, but with Vinay out of the race, it throws open new possibilities for who will walk away with the trophy.

Sources from the show have suggested that Karthik Mahesh is the winner of Bigg Boss Kannada 10, with Drone Pratap and not Sangeetha, the first runner-up. This should mean that Sangeetha will be eliminated after Vinay.

Last evening, during part 1 of the grand finale, host Kiccha Sudeep had sought to clear the air on some allegations surrounding favouritism on the part of the showrunners. Sudeep clarified that the showrunners in Bengaluru do not have access to the voting results and that the tallying was being done by a team in Mumbai instead. The host also looked to dispel the allegations that the show is scripted.

In fact, after weeks of social media speculation surrounding the possible winning positions of Vinay and Sangeetha, the tide had begun shifting in favour of Karthik. Several reports even suggested that Varthur Santhosh and Pratap were among the top vote recipients.
