When the Bigg Boss Kannada 10 grand finale was down to the top 3, instead of eliminating one more and then bringing the top 2 to the stage with host Kiccha Sudeep, he changed things around and brought all three from the Bigg Boss house. Sudeep went personally to bring Karthik Mahesh, Drone Pratap and Sangeetha Sringeri to the stage and that is where he eventually announced that it was the end off the road for Sangeetha.
The three finalists had to stand in frames that would be lit up in green or red as the case would be and at the end of it, it remained red on Sangeetha. “I thank everyone who supported me through this journey. I will forever be grateful to all the love I got,” she said.
Sangeetha’s eviction was yet again unexpected, as the 777 Charlie actress was one of the top contestants of the show, winning the coveted Kichchana Chappale even in the last Varada Kathe with Kiccha for her performance in the entire season. Sangeetha’s third place ouster could be a result of the showrunner’s efforts to dispel allegations that the season was being scripted in her favour.
Sudeep addressed the fact that there was a talk about a female winner and that her performance justified that. “A lot of people were hoping for a female winner in this 10th season. I feel sorry for those who were expecting Sangeetha to win, but couldn’t get her to that finishing line,” he said.
The buzz on social media over the last several weeks was that Sangeetha and Drone Pratap were getting preferential treatment on the show and that she, in particular, was being pushed as the frontrunner to win the show. This allegation was fuelled by the fact that in the nine seasons so far, Bigg Boss Kannada has only had one female winner, way back in Season 3, when veteran actress Shruthi Krishna won.
With Sangeetha out of the picture, leaving Drone Pratap and Karthik Mahesh as the top 2, it became crystal clear in which direction things would proceed. Pratap as a winner would be out of the question, given the negative impact such a result would have. Earlier today, sources from the show hinted that Karthik Mahesh is the winner of Season 10.
