Bigg Boss winner and stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui was detained on Tuesday night in Mumbai after a raid on a hookah parlor. With him, 13 others were detained, following the raid. As it was a bailable offense, police gave him a notice and let him go. A case has been registered at MRA Marg Police Station and the investigation is in progress.

The raid took place late at night at a hookah parlor in the Fort area of South Mumbai.

Prompted by a tip-off received by the SS branch, the raid targeted the hookah bar, where officials suspected the patrons of indulging in tobacco-based hookah under the guise of herbal. Including Faruqui, there were 13 more people who were detained.

Police recovered tobacco gutka and hookah-related products during the raid. They seized a total of Rs 4,400 and nine hookah pots, worth Rs 13,500 in the raid according to India TV.
