Bigg Boss 17- Arun Srikanth Mashettey REVEALS the reason as to why he understands diamonds and jewellery so well!

The ongoing season of Bigg Boss is proving to be a season of many revelations. The ongoing Munawar Faruqui episode is just one big thing (read ‘revelation’) that has happened in the entire season. Besides that, there are other contestants whose family lives are still being closely guarded. One such contestant is Arun Srikanth Mashettey, about whom, all that the audiences know is that he is from Hyderabad and that he runs a gaming channel on YouTube. He had also revealed that his wife is a foreigner and that they have a small child. Besides that, nothing much was known about him.

Arun Srikanth Mashettey knows his diamonds!
In a recent promo which has been released by the channel airing the show, it shows Arun Srikanth Mashettey looking at Vicky Jain’s finger ring and telling exactly that, it is a ‘F-coloured diamond ring with a VVS 1 certification. Hearing that, Vicky Jain is totally taken aback and then, he applauds Arun Srikanth Mashettey’s knowledge about diamonds and gold in front of Aoora.

Arun Srikanth Mashettey’s grandfather has 100-acre land!
Vicky Jain, then, turns around and tells Aoora that Arun understands diamonds. That’s when Arun chips in to say that his father is into jewellery business. And when Vicky tells Aoora that, even Arun’s grandfather is into jewellery business, at that time, Arun corrects him stating that, his grandfather is into farming and that he has a 100-acre land!

Arun Srikanth Mashettey reveals about his father’s business
Arun then tells Aoora that his father runs a jewellery shop that has got everything ranging from A to Z of jewellery. He adds that, while the shop is in Hyderabad, their speciality is ‘vaddanam’, which is a gold ornament worn by (especially) South Indian women on special occasions, rings, necklace and earrings.

What is an ‘F-coloured diamond ring’ and a VVS 1 certification
Basically, the term ‘F color’ in diamonds indicates the bottom of the colourless range of diamonds, which determines the precious stone’s purity. The F coloured diamonds also indicate an excellent balance of the highest quality range and value. And as for the term ‘VVS1’, it is the short form for Very, Very Slightly Included 1. The VVS 1 in a diamond denotes the minute inclusions in the precious stone which are only visible under 10x magnification.
