Bigg Boss 16 October 13 Written Update: Gautam Vig becomes FURIOUS with Shalin Bhanot for kissing Soundarya Sharma

After the housemates’ morning sing along, this time a fight breaks out over ginger, with Archana Gautam saying she put some ginger in her purse and the others scolding her over it. Abdu Rozik rewards Soundarya Sharma and MC Stan with a warm hug for giving the former a massage.

When Shalin Bhanot goofs around with Soundarya’s stone face roller, Gautam Vig rushes and rubs his face on Tina Datta’s to make Shalin jealous. Shalin gives Soundarya a peck on the cheek, much to the surprise of Gautam, Soundarya and Tina, and Gautam seems to have not liked it at all. Gautam says that Shalin was displaying ‘cheapness’. He even refuses to talk to Soundarya. Shalin and Gautam get into a full fledged argument about the peck, and Gautam declares that he really likes Soundarya.

Soundarya says she and Shalin have a healthy relationship and cannot understand why Gautam is so angry about the peck, which they call a fun gesture. Sreejita De tells Gautam that Soundarya must like the attention she gets from Shalin. Tina and Shalin also argue about it, and Tina agrees with Gautam’s stand. Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia asks Gautam to remain firm in his stand, and says that Shalin is trying to be the leader among them.

When Sreejita asks Sumbul Touqeer for Poha, the former says that there’s none left. An argument breaks out over the amount of poha consumption by the people of room 6.

Shalin says he doesn't want to emotionally damage himself, and Tina gets offended thinking that Shalin is trying to say that Tina is damaging him emotionally. Tina has a deep conversation with Abdu about how people are not understanding each other.

When Sumbul kneads dough sitting on the floor outside, since her hand is hurt, Archana declares that she doesn't want to eat rotis made from ‘bahar ka atta. Archana says that she’ll make her own rotis. Gautam tries to make her understand how mean and insensitive she is being, to no avail. Abdu and Stan talk about how ‘pagal’ Archana is. Archana continues to have arguments in the kitchen, leading to Gautam raising his voice.

Soundarya tells Abdu that she doesn’t know whether Shalin likes her as well and jokes that ‘Everyone wants Soundarya’.

Ankit Gupta is called to the confession room. Bigg Boss says that Ankit is behaving like Bigg Boss himself, just observing the housemates and not saying much. The supreme asks Ankit about the gossip about the house. Ankit says that he thinks that a lot of people in the house are two faced. Bigg Boss asks Ankit about Sumbul and Tina and Ankit tells the supreme that Sumbul seems to be lost and Tina seems to be playing the game with her mind. When asked about the love stories in the house, Ankit talks about the ones between Gautam-Soundarya, and Tina-Shalin. Ankit says that the latter seem to be playing a game, and Gautam seems to be genuine. On Archana, Ankit says that she seems to be doing a lot for the camera. On Priyanka, he says that the actress doesn't keep anything in her heart.

Nimrit and Sreejita confront Archana for taking the ginger, and the latter refuses to give it back. Nimrit calls Archana irritating. Gautam manages to pacify Archana, and she says that she will return the ginger for him. Sajid remarks how easily fights break out over small portions of food and rations.

Bigg Boss asks Abdu to call everyone to the living room. The supreme asks housemates to name the person whose voice they find most irritating, and asks them to tell them to ‘shut up’. Most of them ask Archana to shut up. Archana is asked to stay mum until Bigg Boss tells her otherwise, leading the other housemates to celebrate. Archana is asked to go into the confession room.

Archana talks to Bigg Boss about the whole ginger debacle, saying that she had put it in her purse before the supreme’s orders arrived. Shalin is called to the confession room as well. Bigg Boss says that Shalin has to become Archana’s voice, and if he does so, he will get packets of chicken for a whole week. Shalin is asked to wear a hat with a parrot on it, and become Archana’s voice for a while. Archana bursts into laughter.

The housemates pull Shalin and Archana’s legs. Nimrit and Gautam search for the rest of Archana’s ginger. Sajid says that Priyanka is one who actually talks the most.

Priyanka, Abdu, Sreejita and Nimrit incessantly tease Archana to get her to talk, and the latter two eat Archana’s ginger in front of her. But Archana refuses to speak despite the efforts of all the housemates.

Bigg Boss is impressed with Shalin and Archana, and the two are rewarded with chicken and ginger. Archana’s punishment is lifted.

Shalin and Gautam still argue over the Soundarya incident, and the former says he does not want to lose Gautam’s friendship. Gautam finally says sorry and the duo have a friendly brawl. Bigg Boss also gives the housemates a task of making housemates’ drinks based on the traits of theirs that they don't like.
