Big George Foreman out on OTT in India: Here's where you can stream biographical sports drama

Big George Foreman: The Miraculous Story of the Once and Future Heavyweight Champion of the World, popularly known as Big George Foreman, has made it to OTT in India. The biographical sports drama film is currently streaming on SonyLIV (OTTplay Premium). The 2023 film features Khris Davis playing the role of boxing great George Foreman. Moreover, Lawrence Gilliard Jr., Jasmine Mathews, John Magaro, Sullivan Jones, Sonja Sohn, and Forest Whitaker are among the actors featured in this George Tillman Jr.-directed film.

The film Big George Foreman provides a captivating portrayal of the life of the former world heavyweight champion and his subsequent reign. Foreman, motivated by an unhappy upbringing and a near-death experience, channels his rage into becoming the World Heavyweight Champion before moving to the pulpit. However, he becomes the oldest and most unlikely heavyweight champion in history after reclaiming his championship in response to the hardships he witnesses in his neighbourhood.

According to reports, the planning for Big George Foreman began in 2020, and despite multiple setbacks, the $32 million film was shot in New Orleans from February to March of 2022. Sony Pictures Releasing released the film to theatres on April 28, 2023, and it made $6 million.

George Foreman’s reflections on his biopic

Earlier, in an interview with Screenrant, Foreman spoke about his biopic, stating that the film is all about Hollywood. Many elements from the film were removed, and he expressed a wish that they had never been a part of his life. The former sports personality had a great time, as the makers depicted the journey artistically to the best of their ability. Because it amused him, Foreman is satisfied with the film. What if, after some time has passed, everything that has happened to one turns out to be entertaining? It's the one he discovered.

Foreman went on to say that as he watched, he noticed little George Foreman in the film bringing in these dilapidated appliances. Since they were ineffective, people abandoned them. Those aspects of his life had slipped his mind because, when they are preoccupied with paying taxes and bills and trying to meet this and that, it's easy to lose sight of their roots. When he saw that boy onscreen, he started crying.

Foreman revealed that he did meet Khris Davis and praised him as a perceptive individual. The actor's gaze fell upon me, and he made sure to meet his gaze. After Foreman commanded Davis to keep looking at him until he sees him, he apparently said, "What is this guy doing?" Foreman educated him on the nature and definition of anger. He aimed to smash the bag rather than merely hit it. Davis snatched it up and immediately set to work; he is remarkable.
