Bigg Boss OTT Season 3 is all set to start premiering on June 21. This time, the show will not be hosted by Salman Khan but actor Anil Kapoor. The actor will be seen making his hosting debut with the new season which has already got the fans excited. Now, ahead of the show, Anil reacted to him replacing Salman as the host of the controversial reality show, how excited he is for it, and more.
Anil Kapoor on replacing Salman Khan as Bigg Boss OTT 3 host
At the Bigg Boss press conference today, on June 18, when Munawar Faruqui, the winner of Bigg Boss Season 17 asked Anil Kapoor about stepping into Salman Khan's shoes. He said, “Everyone’s asking this question but it is very wrong. Nobody can replace Salman Khan. Similarly nobody can replace Anil Kapoor. I spoke to bhai about it and he was very excited that I’ve now taken over a non-fiction show. I wanted to do something different for a long time now. I’ve done many movies, judged shows but have never done something like Bigg Boss. I’m very excited for it.”
Speaking further, Kapoor added that his wife as well as his family is very excited for the show. "I’ve taken inspiration from my wife. When she got to know that I’m doing this show, she asked me if I’ve seen her handle the house or not. I agreed to her and she then asked me to handle the Bigg Boss house in the same way. I’m just very excited,” he added.

The makers of the show announced the first contestant from the show by sharing two blurry pictures. They asked to viewers to guess by writing - "Who's the first contestant of #BiggBossOTT3? Head over to #JioCinemaPremiun to get a sneak peek of this #TeekhiMirchi Bigg Boss OTT 3 streaming exclusively on JioCinema Premium starting 21 June, 9 pm."
Well, as you all must have guessed, she is none other than the Vada Pav girl aka Chandrika Dixit. For the uninitiated, Dixit rose to prominence virtually overnight after videos of her making and selling vada pavs went viral. She sells Vada Pav in the streets of Delhi. Other contestants, who are likely to be seen on the show are – Harshad Chopda, Shehzada Dhami, Cheshta Bhagat, Nikhil Mehta, and Vishal Pandey.
Bigg Boss OTT 3 will be streaming on JioCinema from June 21. The first episode will be aired at 9 PM.
