Bhuvan Bam and Mrunal Thakur were seen at the recently held screening for Diljit Dosanjh-Parineeti Chopra’s upcoming film, Amar Singh Chamkila. The movie, slated to release on Netflix on April 12, is directed by Imtiaz Ali and is about an iconic Punjabi singer who was shot dead at the age of 27. The movie is screening at the ongoing MAMI (Mumbai Academy of the Moving Image) festival in the city.

Two days after announcing the second season of his own show, Taaza Khabar, Bhuvan made an appearance for the screening of Amar Singh Chamkila. The actor is still shooting for the show and will be on the sets for nine more days. He took some time out of the schedule and attended the screening in a green sweatshirt with black pants.
Mrunal Thakur
Making noise for her appearance throughout the day, Mrunal Thakur was also seen at the screening. The actress was seen at Siddhivinayak temple some time back, where her moment with a child won the netizens over. At the screening, Mrunal wore black formals. The actress was last seen in Vijay Deverakonda starrer The Family Star.

Amar Singh Chamkila is the biopic of a Punjabi singer by the same name, who was popular in his time. The young artist was shot dead on March 8 in 1988. He was just 27 at the time. Diljit plays the role of the singer and Parineeti Chopra is seen as his on-screen wife. Amar Singh Chamkila will release on Netflix on April 12. This is a day after Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan, helmed by Amit Sharma, and Akshay Kumar-Tiger Shroff’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, releases in theatres. The latter is an adaptation from David Dhawan directed 1998 film, which starred Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda in the lead roles.
