YouTube content creator Bhuvan Bam appears to have taken a dig on Anjali Arora, who is the Kacha Badam famed actress. He actually spoke about the song and the difference in the pay the original creator has received vs people who have made money out of making reels of his song. It is to be noted that Anjali Arora, last seen in Kangana Ranaut’s Lock Upp, gained instant fame after her Kacha Badam reel.
Bhuvan was invited to The Gentleman Show, where he spoke about various topics – one being that of the Kacha Badam reel. He never named Anjali, nor did he have to, considering she gained instant popularity through her reel.
Bhuvan was talking about how content needs to be authentic. That is when he gave the example of Kacha Badam.
“Pichle ek mahine se woh Kacha Badam itna pakk chuka hai,” Bhuvan said, instantly adding that the original creator was only paid Rs. 3-4 lakhs for his original song. The creator also recalled how various people took the song and turned it into brand integration. He was talking about Instagram brand integration, which pays in crores or more.
Bhuvan spoke about the situation of the creator in front of the others. He shared that Kacha Badam creator - West Bengal’s Bhuban Badyakar - who would sing the tune on streets to sell a product, was only offered two-three shows, which pay lesser amount as compared to what others made through his song. However, since Bhuban survives on the streets, that amount is also big for him.
Bhuvan Bam was last seen in his own show Dhindora, which also appeared on his own YouTube channel, BB Ki Vines. Meanwhile, Anjali made her debut in Bollywood through Kangana Ranaut’s show Lock Upp. She was often linked with the show’s winner Munawar Faruqui as MunJali. Anjali was eventually the second runner-up of Lock Upp. On the other hand, Bhuvan bagged a show on Disney+Hotstar, the details of which are yet to be revealed.
