Director Shashank, who is known to make intense love stories, is ready with his next, Love 360, which marks the debut of MBBS graduate Praveen in Kannada cinema. The film pairs Praveen with Rachana Inder, of Love Mocktail fame.
Shashank, we hear, is looking for a good window in August-September to release the film, in the run-up to which he is presenting the songs to audiences. The success of the music, he says, will determine to a great extent audience response to the film itself. The first song from the film was Jagave Neenu, sung by Sid Sriram and composed by Arjun Janya, which has amassed a whopping 8 million views since it was released. This was followed up by Sakhiye Saavarisu in the vocals of Sanjith Hegde. The third track from the film, Bhorgaredu, written by the filmmaker and sung by Keerthan Holla, will be released with its full video tomorrow at 1 pm.
Speaking to OTTplay way back in January this year, when he had finished shooting the film, Shashank had explained what Love 360 is about. He said, “The core of Love 360 is, no doubt, the love story, and how far a couple will go to safeguard it. It’s about unconditional love and standing by each other through thick and thin; hence the title, which signifies that all angles of love have been explored. However, the film is not only about the love story and involves a crime as well, which will bring in some intense moments in the narrative.”
The teaser of the film, which came out in May, reinforced the unconditional love bit, wherein Praveen’s character is shown going all out to protect Jaanu (Rachana) who appears to have mild learning disability. For society, though, her impairment means that she is dubbed ‘mental’.
The film has been jointly produced by the filmmaker’s Shashank Cinemass and Dr Manjula Murthy.
