Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 trailer: Kartik Aaryan trapped between two ghostly divas Madhuri Dixit and Vidya Balan

The suspense is building as the trailer for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 finally drops. Up until now, there have been hints of Vidya Balan's return as Manjulika, but a new twist has emerged on screen, featuring Madhuri Dixit-Nene bringing her own charm as the ghostly figure. The trailer immerses us in the story, hinting at Kartik Aaryan's role as Rooh Baba, who not only has the ability to communicate with ghosts but also has the ability to become their mediator by absorbing their souls into his body.

Manjulika vs Manjulika: A battle between ghosts

The trailer, spanning nearly four minutes, gradually reveals that Kartik is not a genuine baba, but rather has made it his business to deceive innocent people. However, in no time, we find ourselves in a palace, where two Manjulika engage in a battle unlike anything we've ever seen before. There's also a glimpse of a dance-off between Madhuri, a Kathak dancer, and Vidya, an Odissi dancer, who are showcasing their respective moves for an event.

The trailer doesn't provide much insight into the battle between two spirited souls and how Kartik finds himself caught in the middle. Meanwhile, there are also glimpses of Triptii Dimri as his ladylove, who seems to belong to that palace just like Kiara Advani's character in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.

Anees Bazmee's return to the director's chair

Anees Bazmee, who returned after the second installment of the blockbuster franchise, directs Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Bhushan Kumar has produced the film under his home banner T-Series, while Aakash Kaushik has penned the screenplay and dialogues. 

Vidya Balan has returned to the franchise after more than a decade, while Madhuri and Triptii are the new faces taking forward the legacy of Bhool Bhulaiyaa. 

Release date

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is slated to release on November 1, 2024, coinciding with Diwali weekend.
