In recent times, Kartik Aaryan has become one of the most bankable stars in the Hindi film industry. The actor, who started his Bollywood journey with Pyaar Ka Punchnama struggled a lot before making his big name. The Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 actor went on to star in films like Aakash Vani, Guest In London, and Kaanchi, which did not do well with the audience nor did it earn well at the box office. In a recent interview, the actor talked about his career ups and downs and also revealed that he struggled to pay the rent of his flat after a string of flops.
In an interview with Mashable India, Kartik Aaryan talked about his struggling phase and recalled moving to a house where he lived alone but had no money as his films were not working. "Pyaar Ka Punchnama had come at that time but that did not work much in my favour. After that Akaash Vaani did not do well, Kaanchi also didn't work. Guest in London also didn't work. Nobody knew much about these films as they were not working at the box office,” the actor said.
He further mentioned that he has also seen times when he could not afford to pay the rent of his house in Mumbai. He said, "There was a point where I couldn’t pay the rent of this house. It was a very strange time because I was thinking either I bring in some roommates or I start sharing with someone else. Then finally Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety happened. I was paying ₹2,000 as rent then. At one point, it went up to ₹4,000."
Post Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Kartik Aaryan became a household name and now enjoys a massive fan following. The actor is currently all over the news for his much-awaited release - Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. After the massive success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, the third instalment in the hit franchise is also expected to do wonders at the box office.
