It is the third installment in the popular horror-comedy franchise, following Bhool Bhulaiyaa and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Made on a budget of Rs 150 crore, the horror-comedy earned Rs 388.9 crore at the global box office. The film has earned over Rs 421 crore globally, making it the second-highest-grossing Hindi film of 2024. Despite receiving mixed reviews, the film was able to become a super hit at the box office.
Directed by Anees Bazmee, the film is written by Aakash Kaushik and produced by T-series Films and Cine1 Studios. Set in the vibrant city of Kolkata, West Bengal, it brings back Kartik Aaryan as Rooh Baba and the iconic character of Manjulika, played by Vidya Balan. With a blend of horror and comedy, the film delivers a thrilling and adventurous experience.
Earlier, in an interview with India Today, Kartik Aaryan opened up about his journey to fame and said that he believes that his success story resonates with fans. That's the relatability factor. Somewhere I feel that they think that he is one of us."
