Anees Bazmee recalls day 1 of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 shoot: 'When we took first shot of Madhuri Dixit, everyone...'

Anees Bazmee's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 finally hit the big screen on Diwali (November 1). Kartik Aaryan and Triptii Dimri's horror comedy clashed with Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh's cop drama Singham Again at the box office. After Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 was released in cinemas, filmmaker Anees recalled day one of his movie's shoot. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Bazmee revealed how everyone reacted when Madhuri Dixit gave her first shot of the film.

Anees Bazmee told the news publication that he had great hopes for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 since its scripting stage. The filmmaker recalled the crew got a good feeling when the first scene was shot and edited. Bazmee felt the scene looked good as the actors were in their characters.

The first two-three days of shoot were crucial, because everyone was coming together for the film after playing different characters [in different films]. For instance, Kartik did Chandu Champion. Vidya was in her character since day one. When we took the first shot of Madhuri, everyone on the set clapped for her," recounted Anees.

The filmmaker further emphasized feeling confident because of his film's talented star cast. Even before the star cast was locked, Anees was confident that the team was working on creating something 'beautiful and special'. "They loved their characters, too," added Anees.

What is the USP of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3?

In the same conversation, Anees was quizzed about the USP of his horror comedy film, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. The filmmaker found it difficult to select one particular USP of the movie. Anees stated that the film has a talented star cast, a trio of pandits (Sanjay Mishra, Rajpal Yadav, and Ashwini Kalsekar), and a beautiful story. 

"It surprises you at so many places. And above all, Madhuri and Vidya ji ke saath khoobsurat gaana hai, Ami Je Tomar 3.0. There are a lot of USPs," he said while signing off.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is now running in cinemas.
