Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 star Kartik Aaryan says he's lucky that filmmakers are now trusting him with their projects

Kartik Aaryan is basking in the glory of the success of his recent film, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The film was one of the biggest opener at the box office this year, earning Rs 100 crore in just nine days since its release. The film is now inching closer to Rs 150 crore. 

The success of the film offers a great relief for Bollywood as several films have failed to impress the audience in the recent past. Speaking to Filmfare, the actor Kartik Aaryan said that he is grateful for all the love he is receiving for his performance in the movie. He said he is flattered and humbled by how the audience are crediting him for reviving the Hindi film industry. "I have miles to go and lots more to do. I am currently enjoying this phase in my career and the results it yields only encourage me to push the envelope a little more,” said the 31-year-old actor. He also expressed his aim to become the top actor in the industry. He said, "My aim is to become the number one actor in the industry. I am working double hard now." He added that he feels fortunate to be in a position where filmmakers are trusting him with their projects. "So I will continue to do my job and entertain the masses,” he said. 

Directed by Anees Bazmee, the horror-comedy also stars Kiara Advani, Tabu, Rajpal Yadav, among others. The film is the spiritual sequel to the 2007 film, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, starring Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan. The makers have now announced the third instalment of the film franchise.

Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan will next be seen in Shehzada, which is a remake of the Telugu film, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, of Allu Arjun. He will be collaborating with his Lukka Chuppi co-star Kriti Sanon in the movie. The actor also has Captain India and Freddy in the pipeline.
