While Bollywood has had a rather bleak start to the year when it comes to the box office performances of much-awaited movies, Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has had a great run. Kartik has now taken to social media to send his gratitude to the fans as the movie goes past Rs. 230 crore worldwide.

Taking to Instagram, the actor shared a poster of the movie which has “Blockbuster of the year” written on it. The poster also states that the movie has minted an impressive Rs. 230 crore nett worldwide.

“#Gratitude #BhoolBhulaiyaa2 still running at theatres near you and if far also, please go #6thWeek (sic),” he wrote in the post. The post is a reshare of a post that Murad Khetani shared on his Instagram handle.

Kartik gained immense popularity in recent weeks, following the movie’s release and massive success. The actor has also been on the news constantly, and most recently after he received a McLaren GT, which was gifted to him by the movie’s producer Bhushan Kumar.

A sequel to the 2007 hit Bhool Bhulaiyaa, starring Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan, the movie is directed by Anees Bazmee. Also starring Kiara Advani and Tabu, the movie received positive reviews following its release.

“Anees Bazmee brings back his comedy element, and it's worth the wait! Along with that, it's Tabu and Kartik Aaryan who take the film up a notch and will leave you impressed throughout. I can't forget about the music and background score, which have me hooked!” reads the movie’s review on OTTplay.

Kartik Aaryan, who is now establishing himself as a bankable star, is also working on Shehzada. Also starring Kriti Sanon, the movie is the Hindi remake of the Telugu movie Ala Vaikunthapurrammulo, starring Allu Arjun. He also has Captain India and Freddy in the pipeline.
