Bhool Bhulaiyaa fans hold onto your hats. An exciting piece of news has emerged from the sets of the upcoming sequel to Priyadarshan’s cult classic, and that too by its lead star Kartik Aaryan himself. Taking to Instagram, the actor announced that he has wrapped up filming a climactic scene for the Hindi horror-comedy.
Aaryan’s post features a black and white photograph of a clapboard from the film set, which indicates that the scene in question is the 162nd shot in the movie. In the caption, the Luka Chuppi star mentions that it is also one of the most challenging sequences he has shot in his career. He also graciously thanks the team behind it for the effort they have put in.
The caption certainly seems to hold true as just a few days prior, it was reported that the star had lost his voice while filming a pivotal scene for the film. According to Bollywood Hungama, the intense scene had involved a lot of yelling by Aaryan, in the middle of which the star suddenly lost his voice. The film’s director Anees Bazmee had lauded the actor’s dedication to his craft, saying that he was willing to take big risks for a perfect shot.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 will serve as the standalone second part of the 2007 film by Priyadarshan, which itself is a remake of the 1993 Malayalam classic film Manichitrathazhu. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, the sequel stars Kartik Aaryan, Tabu and Kiara Advani. The film is scheduled to be released on November 19, 2021.
