Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 box office collection day 29: Kartik Aaryan’s movie expected to have a decent fifth weekend

Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is one of the few Hindi movies that have released this year, to have a solid hold at the box office. Nearly a month into its release, the movie has managed to collect a solid Rs. 1 crore at the box office on Friday. 

According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has collected Rs. 1 crore on Friday, taking its total India business to an impressive Rs. 177.29 crore. Friday did not see any drop for the movie, as it also managed to make one crore business on Thursday. Adarsh also reports that the movie is in for another solid weekend, despite the fact that it is the horror comedy’s fifth weekend. 

Further, Box Office India also suggests that the movie could end with a business of Rs. 185 crore in the country. While Rs. 200 crore seemed possible at one point, this looks unlikely now with the movie set to start streaming on Netflix on Sunday. 

Backed by T-Series Films, the movie also stars Kiara Advani, Tabu and Rajpal Yadav in pivotal roles. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has received mixed to positive reviews following its release. 

“If Kartik is a shining star, then Tabu is the Sun of the film! We can't expect anything less from the actress after yet another outstanding performance. For even a few sequences in the flashback, the actor was de-aged, which didn't look fake, for lack of a better word,” read the movie’s review on OTTplay. 

Directed by Anees Bazmee, the horror comedy is the sequel to 2007’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa which stars Akshay Kumar, Vidhya Balan and Rajpal Yadav among others.
