Bholaa Shankar is one of the biggest flops in the career of megastar Chiranjeevi. The film directed by Meher Ramesh was produced by Anil Sunkara and had Keerthy Suresh and Tamannah as the female leads. Bholaa Shankar was the official remake of Vedhalam and was made on a huge budget in Telugu. Chiranjeevi played a taxi driver and Keerthy Suresh was seen as his sister in the film.

The action drama was released on August 11, 2023, and ended as a massive plot. The pre-release business was done on a solid note of Rs 80 crores but the film did not even make Rs 30 crores share at the box office.
Right from the first day itself, the film carried a flop talk and the director Meher Ramesh was trolled brutally for narrating the film in such a bad manner. Even hardcore fans of Chiranjeevi were disappointed with the film.
Bholaa Shankar OTT rights details
We at OTTplay had already reported that the OTT rights of the film were bagged by Zee 5. But things have changed and now, Netflix has bought the rights for a decent price. We have come to know that the digital screening of the film will happen in the third week of September and plans are being made for the same.

Bholaa Shankar was supposed to release in Hindi as well but the release was stalled seeing the disaster response of the film. Zee 5 has bagged the satellite rights to this film as per the news. Anil Sunkara, the producer would have lost big money if not for the OTT rights of the film.
Chiranjeevi's future projects
The flop show of Bholaa Shankar has taken a toll on Chiranjeevi as well. The star hero is not seen anywhere in the media. He will next be seen in a film directed by Vassisht, who last made Bimbisara, with Kalyan Ram. The film with Chiranjeevi is only his second film and we need to see if he gives the star hero his much-needed hit or not.
