Fans of Chiranjeevi were in for a surprise when director Meher Ramesh announced last year that he is going to team up with the Megastar of Tollywood for the first time. The film which has been titled Bholaa Shankar is the official remake of Kollywood movie Vedalam, which starred Ajith in the lead.
As Chiranjeevi's birthday falls tomorrow, makers have come up with an exciting announcement today. They have now informed that the action film which is high on emotions will hit the screens on April 14, 2023. They have also come up with a new poster featuring the star oozing swag, reminding of his appearance in films in the 90s.
If everything goes well, Bholaa Shankar will be his second outing in 2023 as Bobby's Mega 154 (tentative title) is set for a theatrical release in January. His next release is Mohan Raja's Godfather which will make it to the screens in October.
Bholaa Shankar features Tamannaah Bhatia as its female lead; this is her second movie with Chiranjeevi after Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy which was released in 2019. Keerthy Suresh will be seen essaying the sister role to the protagonist played by the Megastar.
Raghu Babu, Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Ravi Shankar and Vennela Kishore among others play pivotal characters in the movie which has cinematography by Dudley and music direction by Mahati Swara Sagar. Ramajogayya Sastry, Kasarla Shyam, Srimani and Sirasri have penned lyrics for songs. Ramabrahmam Sunkara has bankrolled the film under the banner of AK Entertainments.
Marthand K Venkatesh has edited the project which has dialogues penned by Thirupathi Mamidala. Ram-Laxman, Dileep Subbarayan and Kaeche Kampakdee have jointly choreographed action scenes for Bholaa Shankar while Sekhar has composed dance sequences.
